使用日本INOAC公司合作开发的聚氨酯发泡技术，制作的多孔质海绵作培菌载体。由于该生物载体的特殊结构，突破点是在曝气池内单个生物载体的外表面实现亚硝化反应，内部实现亚硝酸盐的反硝化，其中有简单的物理吸附，还有正、负电荷的引力，使载体表面带有阳离子活性基团及羟基等亲水性基团，可与污水中带有负电荷的微生物产生键、价的固定结合，从而将微生物及生物酶牢固的固定在载体上，使成活后的微生物不容易在水、气的剪切作用下流失，微生物的负载量大，容积负荷高，从而使污水中的氨氮、总氮达到同时下降的目的，它同时还具有切割气泡能力强，空间体积利用率大、无死区等优点，是当前生物处理技术中微生物载体理想的产品。
